About Us

History :

Mehrshahr Food Industries Company is one of the biggest and oldest cold stores in Iran which was established in 1966 under the name of Mehrshahr Cold Store and has been run as an autonomous institution under the supervision of Mostazafan Foundation since the Islamic Revolution of Iran. Following the decision of the Mostazafan Foundation to operate its units as an independent legal personality (company), Mehrshahr Food Industries Co. was established as a joint stock company on April 25, 1996. It also has been registered by Karaj Companies Registration office under no. 3462 on April 25, 1996. Due to the dissolution of Kosar Cold Store Company (100%owned by the Mostazafan Foundation) on September 30, 2004, the assets and liabilities of the two Kosar and Granco cold stores units were transferred to Mehrshahr Food Industry Co. Mehrshahr Food Industries Co. provides above-zero refrigeration services using the following 3 units:

• Mehrshahr Cold Store (head office) with capacity of 18000 tons and 94 cold rooms located in Alborz Province
• Kosar Cold Store with a capacity of 3200 tons and 18 cold rooms located in Alborz Province
• GrenCo Cold Store with a capacity of 3300 tons and 24 cold rooms located in Tehran Province

This company (with a total capacity of 24400 tons and 136 cold rooms), is one of the biggest cold stores located in Tehran and Alborz provinces. It also holds the third position among cold store companies located in these two provinces.
